Early Action Equals Results

One of the things that goes forgotten as we enter the game week of the football calendar and are focused on specific actions toward an individual opponent is the ability to make sure that we are checking in with our players on if they are falling behind cognitively, emotionally, or spiritually.  It is easy to have regular feedback on where they are at physically because we are watching practice and game film on them constantly at this point. But if we are ignorant to these other important areas, we can potentially have major internal issues by player, position group, unit, or through the full team.  This is because, during a football season, it is not IF adversity will strike, but WHEN.  Therefore, we must have tactics and strategies for our players to remind them about the importance of individual accountability and team camaraderie while perfecting their techniques on the field and teaching them the scouting report.  As Coach Saban always says (to paraphrase): why would we expect the pursuit of winning a championship to be anything but challenging and hard?  I have attached a few concepts that I have shared with our players during training camp and pre-season to make sure we remember that the goals we are trying to accomplish are much more than winning every game we play.
