Here is a very simple and effective play call to make when you have a defense that is blowing up your triple option base play by blitzing the backers into the gaps. The play is called Toss. What this does is it gets your A-back out to the perimeter NOW! Let the linebackers blitz the gaps…they will accomplish nothing. In addition, the entire backside of the play does not even have to be blocked.
