I truly believe that football comes down to two things: blocking and tackling! Whichever team does better at both of these fundamentals, wins the game! Is is that simple folks. Picture in your mind any type of offensive or defensive scenario. Add to that scenario, either a missed block, or a missed tackle. The play will end totally different. If your offense and defense executes their assignments better than your opponent, you will WIN that game! Any missed block or tackle, is considered a breach of your team’s Cardinal Rules! Even an athletically inferior team can beat a superior team if they are able to execute their fundamental blocking and tackling skills with more proficiency than their opponents.
Remember, football is not rocket science. It is simply a game where the more fundamentally sound teams wins!
